LVIAs

We produce Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments [LVIAs] and Townscape Assessments [TVIAs] for a diverse range of developments, in particularly, residential and energy schemes. These are on various scales with different levels of sensitivity. We follow best practice as put forward in the GLVIA (3rd edition 2013). We use GIS in our baseline studies, our reports include photographic evidence, diagrams and GIS mapping to support our analysis of anticipated effects of the development on landscape character and visual amenity. we have experience as an expert witness in Public Inquiries with regard to landscape and visual matters.

ASSESSMENTS

We support all our Landscape/Townscape + Visual Impact Assessments and Appraisals with a photographic survey. We can provide proposed visualisations to support applications.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

We specialise in producing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments for wind, solar and gas energy production facilities.

EXPERT WITNESS

We provide an integrated, evidence-based approach to all our assessments which has allowed us to provide evidence at public inquiries. Director, Paul Gray is a Chartered Landscape Architect experienced at public inquiries and hearings due to his knowledge and understanding of landscape and visual amenity.

TOWNSCAPE APPRAISALS

We provide GIS mapping and graphical analysis to support our assessments and appraisals.

VISUAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS

We provided advice to the LPA on the likely visual impact of HS2 would have on the countryside supported by visualisation by Cloud 9 Visualisation.

GIS MAPPING

We provide high quality mapping that demonstrates landscape character areas, topography, access and circulation, landscape and historical designations, zone of theoretical visibility to support our baseline studies.
