The team at PGLA is led by a Chartered Landscape Architect who has been at the forefront of best practice and skills development in the industry for the last 25 years.

An enthusiastic and skilled team of Landscape Architects supports this experience. Members of PGLA have a varied portfolio which includes the delivery of public squares, town centre public realm schemes, podium deck design, strategic masterplanning, planting designs for residential and commercial projects, health and educational projects and environmental improvements.

We believe creativity is key to delivering solutions within our professional field. We work closely together with the client and other professionals, tackling issues around contextually responsive design solutions, built form, layout, communication and delivery in an open forum with clear roles and responsibilities. 

 
 

  • We work at all levels of the design process from concept design through to external works, planting plans, construction drawings and management plans. 

  • We produce detailed appraisals & analysis of the site in terms of opportunity and constraint studies, which includes mitigation strategies and ultimately rendered landscape layouts to support our strategies.

  • We take a collaborative approach to understand the project environment to guide and inform design development concluding in deliverable schemes.

  • We produce LVIAs, Landscape and Visual and Townscape Appraisals for a diverse range of developments. These are on various scales with different levels of sensitivity. We follow best practice as put forward in the GLVIA (3rd edition 2013). we have considerable experience in providing evidence as expert witness in Public Inquiries, hearings and written reps with regard to landscape and visual matters.

  • We have a wealth of experience in podium design and construction  and understand the challenges involved in providing outdoor functional space on a multi storey building.
